The group includes famous sports personalities such as boxing champion Yermakhan Ibraimov, wrestling silver medalist Islam Bayramukov, Olympic champion in the 100-meter hurdles Olga Shishigina, swimming champion Dmitry Balandin, and judo silver medalist Askhat Zhitkeyev.

Kazakh Minister of Tourism and Sports Yermek Marzhikpayev, along with media representatives, gathered at the Olympic Training Center in Almaty to wish the athletes good luck. Marzhikpayev highlighted Kazakhstan’s success at past Olympic Games, with a total of 79 medals won and 15 Olympic champions trained since gaining independence.

With 80 athletes set to compete at the Summer Olympics from July 26 to August 11, Kazakhstan will be aiming for more victories on the grand stage. The Paris Games will see 10,500 competitors from 205 nations vying for 329 sets of awards in 32 sports.

In a first for the country, five Kazakhstan TV channels will broadcast the Olympic Games, allowing citizens to follow the action on the Qazaqstan, Qazsport, Jibek Joly, Khabar, and El Arna channels. This extensive coverage ensures that fans can stay connected and support their national athletes throughout the competition.
