The updated rankings exclude the previous leader, legendary boxer Gennadiy Golovkin, who recently stepped down from his world champion position. Alimkhanuly, who has recently unified his International Boxing Federation middleweight and World Boxing Organization titles, now takes his place at the top of the rankings.
Following closely behind Alimkhanuly is Dominican boxer Carlos Adames, who secured second place in the rankings. Cuban boxer Erislandy Lara came in third.
