Kazakh Chess Team Claims Silver at 2024 FIDE Chess Olympiad in Budapest
The Kazakhstan women’s chess team has won a silver medal at the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Budapest, Hungary, which took place from Sept. 10 to 23. The team, consisting of Bibisara Assaubayeva, Meruyert Kamalidenova, Xeniya Balabayeva, Alua Nurman, and Amina Kairbekova, excelled in the competition, defeating strong opponents such as the United States and Poland.
In a statement from the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, it was mentioned that the women’s team’s achievement reflects the strength of Kazakhstan’s chess.
