
Kazakh Foreign Minister Engages International Leaders at UN to Boost Cooperation

Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu recently engaged in talks with several foreign counterparts during the High-Level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The discussions aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and various countries.
According to the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Minister, Nurtleu met with foreign ministers from Spain, Latvia, Luxembourg, Poland, and Switzerland on September 25. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Kazakhstan and EU countries and exchanging perspectives on regional and global agendas. As a result of the meetings, both sides agreed to plan high-level visits in the future.
Additionally, Nurtleu held meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Moldova, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, and the Foreign Minister of Singapore. During the meeting with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, an intergovernmental agreement was signed to exempt holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements. This move was commended by Al Zayani, who highlighted the significance of opening the Kazakh Consulate General in Manama to strengthen bilateral relations.
Furthermore, discussions were held with the Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Gilbert Houngbo, to explore opportunities for cooperation. Both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing labor legislation, social protection, and promoting decent work.
Overall, the talks between Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Murat Nurtleu and his foreign counterparts aimed to deepen cooperation and foster stronger ties between Kazakhstan and various countries on regional and global levels.
