Kazakh IT developers showcased their innovative projects in various sectors at the Astana Hub International Technopark of IT startups. The event was attended by Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and National Economy Minister Nurlan Baibazarov and Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev, who explored the cutting-edge projects developed by local specialists.

Astana Hub aims to create and nurture an ecosystem for IT businesses, provide training for IT specialists, and support startup projects. With nearly 1,500 registered IT companies in the technology park, including over 400 with foreign participation, the hub serves as a vital platform for showcasing technological advancements.

One of the projects presented was the Alaqan startup, which offers a contactless payment system utilizing palm vein recognition. With three products in its portfolio, Alaqan has gained 100,000 users, processes 1.2 million identifications per month, and secured $300,000 in investments since its launch in 2020.

Another notable innovation introduced at the event was the NeuronOil project, a web-based oilfield development simulator integrating cross-well numerical simulation with machine learning. This technology enables the enhancement of daily oil production without incurring additional costs or optimizing expenses while maintaining planned production levels.

Furthermore, CodiPlay, a promising Kazakh EdTech startup with a focus on global expansion, showcased its AI and virtual reality-based platform connecting schools across various countries including Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, South Korea, the United Kingdom (UK), and Uzbekistan.

Discussions during the event centered on supporting startups, commercializing innovative projects, and venture financing in line with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s directive to boost the export of IT services to $1 billion. The collaboration between government officials and IT developers underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to fostering technological advancements and driving economic growth through innovation.
