Kazakhstan Shares E-Government Expertise with Tajikistan, Sierra Leone, and Togo
Kazakhstan has taken a significant step towards enhancing digital inclusion and transformation by signing licensing agreements with Tajikistan, Sierra Leone, and Togo. The agreements signify the transfer of domestic experience in creating electronic government systems, as stated by Acting Chairman of National Information Technologies, Dmitriy Mun, during the first Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation held on Sept. 3.
According to Kazinform, Kazakhstan’s National Information Technologies (NIT) has provided these countries with the source codes for various e-government information systems like the E-Peer website builder, Smart Data Ukimet, and Smart Bridge, as a grant.
Mun highlighted the effectiveness of Kazakhstan’s website builder platform, which enables the creation of over 4,000 government agency websites without programming. The collaboration with Tajikistan has already resulted in the development of more than five websites using this innovative platform.
These recent licensing agreements reflect Kazakhstan’s commitment to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s vision outlined in his previous state-of-nation address. The President emphasized the need to boost Kazakhstan’s IT service exports, and through sharing expertise in e-government systems, the country is establishing itself as a key player in the global digital transformation landscape.
By leveraging its knowledge and experience in digital technologies, Kazakhstan is not only assisting fellow nations in enhancing their electronic government capabilities but also solidifying its position as a progressive contributor to the digital revolution.
