Kazakh National Music Makes Global Debut on Apple Music and Spotify

State Counselor Erlan Karin Launches Assyl Mura Audio Collection, Kazakhstan’s Largest Music Archive
State Counselor Erlan Karin recently attended the launch of the Assyl Mura (Precious Heritage) audio collection in Kazakhstan. This collection is considered the largest national music archive in the history of Kazakhstan and is now available on over 100 global streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, Yandex Music, and YouTube Music.
The collection features 1,500 carefully selected recordings, including traditional Kazakh music such as kuis, folk songs, jyr-terme (a genre of Kazakh poetry), fairy tales, lullabies, and retro hits. These recordings preserve authentic performances by Kazakhstan’s pioneering musicians.
Managed by the Qazaqstan Radio and Television Corporation, the materials from the Assyl Mura collection can also be accessed on altynqor.com. State Counselor Karin emphasized that this initiative will help promote Kazakhstan’s rich musical heritage on a global scale and serve as a valuable resource for future generations.
“The collection will provide a rich and reliable source of information for young performers, future generations, and will greatly expand the artificial intelligence database,” stated Karin during the launch event.
In addition to being available on streaming platforms, the Assyl Mura collection will also be donated to national libraries and art universities across Kazakhstan. This move ensures that the music archive will be preserved and accessible to a wider audience within the country.
The launch of the Assyl Mura audio collection marks a significant milestone in preserving and promoting Kazakhstan’s musical heritage, showcasing the country’s diverse and rich cultural legacy to the world.
