Kazakh President Wishes Orthodox Christians Merry Christmas
ASTANA — Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his warm wishes to the country’s Orthodox Christians on the occasion of Christmas on Jan. 7.
In his message, President Tokayev emphasized the significance of Christmas as a time that symbolizes goodness and hope, bringing believers together in the pursuit of high ideals of humanism. He highlighted the special joy that fills the hearts of Orthodox people during this festive season, inspiring them to show care and attention to their loved ones, as well as mercy and compassion to those in need.
President Tokayev also acknowledged the important role of Orthodoxy in strengthening the unity and solidarity of Kazakhstan’s people, while promoting values such as patriotism, creativity, and responsibility. He expressed his belief that harmony and mutual understanding in society will continue to serve as a solid foundation for the nation’s sustainable progress.
