Kazakh President Tokayev Expresses Gratitude to Emir of Qatar for Support at SCO Summit
During a recent meeting on July 3, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his gratitude to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his active participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and continued support for Kazakhstan’s international initiatives.
The meeting, as reported by the Akorda press service, highlighted the strong partnership between Kazakhstan and Qatar, emphasizing their shared goals and aspirations. President Tokayev praised Qatar as one of Kazakhstan’s closest allies.
Discussions between the two leaders also focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade, economy, culture, transportation, agriculture, energy, education, healthcare, and telecommunications. Both sides underscored the importance of addressing pressing regional and international issues.
The personal involvement and support of the Emir of Qatar at the SCO Summit reaffirm the close relationship between the two nations and their commitment to fostering mutual growth and development.
