Kazakh President Tours Akmola Region Production Sites

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recently embarked on a productive working visit to the Akmola Region on Aug. 16. During his visit, he toured various production facilities in Koshy town and Rodina village, gaining insights into the agricultural sector in the region.

In Rodina village, President Tokayev had the opportunity to visit a local supermarket, Dostyk (Friendship) park, the local secondary school, and the production facilities of the Rodina agro firm. Expressing his admiration for the farm of Ivan Sauer, Tokayev emphasized his wish for happiness and prosperity for all involved.

During his visit to the agro firm, Tokayev explored the milking center No. 1 and the dairy plant, both equipped with modern technology and facilities. The dairy plant, in particular, produces 50 tons of milk per day using advanced European technologies, showcasing the firm’s commitment to quality and innovation.

CEO Ivan Sauer shared plans with President Tokayev regarding the development of the farm’s dairy sector, including the construction of a new milking center. Sauer also highlighted the company’s social projects, which have contributed significantly to the village’s development and well-being.

In total, the Akmola Region is home to 15 dairy plants, with seven dairy farms currently under construction. The region has received substantial financial support totaling 13.3 billion tenge (US$27.7 million) to finance various projects in the dairy industry.

Additionally, President Tokayev visited the IL-TOV LLP production site for semi-finished products in Koshy. The company specializes in producing deep-processed poultry dishes, which are supplied to both the domestic market and the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states. The President emphasized the importance of developing the domestic food industry and pledged state assistance to support entrepreneurship in the region.

Overall, President Tokayev’s visit underscored the significance of the agricultural sector in the Akmola Region and highlighted the efforts being made to enhance production and promote economic growth in the region.
