Almaty’s Kairat football team has confirmed the transfer of 16-year-old forward, Dastan Satpayev, to London’s Chelsea Football Club. The talented young player will move to London in the summer of 2026, once he turns 18.

According to Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee for Satpayev, including bonuses, reached a record-breaking four million euros (US$4.1 million) for Kazakhstan’s league.

Satpayev, who hails from Almaty, joined the Kairat Academy at the young age of eight. Throughout his time at the academy, he displayed exceptional hard work, discipline, and a strong desire for perfection. His dedication paid off as he progressed through all stages of training.

During his time in the Kazakhstan Youth Football League (QJ League), Satpayev showcased his skills by scoring 26 goals and providing 10 assists in 28 matches over two seasons. His outstanding performance led to him being awarded the Most Valuable Player accolade in 2024.

In May 2024, Satpayev made history by becoming the youngest player to ever debut for Kairat’s senior team. This transfer to Chelsea marks a significant milestone in his promising football career, and fans are eagerly anticipating his future success on the international stage.
