Kazakhstan to Increase Agricultural Exports to Boost International Market Presence

The country currently exports a variety of goods such as livestock, honey, dairy products, sausages, and preserved goods to various countries.

In addition, Kazakhstan also exports honey, beekeeping products, poultry items, skins, and feed to the same countries and to Türkiye. Türkiye has shown interest in importing lentils, grain, and wheat from Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, sausages, preserved goods, offal, dairy products, and fish are exported to destinations such as the EAEU, CIS, Azerbaijan, China, Iran, South Korea, and Uzbekistan. Livestock exports, which include beef, lamb, pork, and horse flesh, are also sent to the EAEU, CIS, Azerbaijan, China, Iran, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Uzbekistan.
The total turnover of agricultural products in Kazakhstan in 2023 amounted to $11.3 billion, with exports totaling $5.35 billion. Despite a slight decrease from the previous year, Kazakhstan remains a key player in the global food export market.
According to Kazakh Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov, Kazakhstan is ranked among the top 25 global food exporters, supplying agricultural products to 80 countries, including Central Asian states and the EAEU. Over the past five years, agricultural exports from Kazakhstan have doubled, reaching $5.4 billion. The country aims to double its export volumes by 2029.
The ministry is actively engaging in discussions with the European Union, Vietnam, Singapore, and the Gulf States to diversify its range of exportable products. With these efforts, Kazakhstan is set to strengthen its foothold in the international agricultural market and emerge as a prominent player in the industry.
