Kazakhstan and China Boost Trade Connections through Middle Corridor Agreement
Astana – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has recently signed a law to ratify an agreement with the government of China for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), commonly known as the Middle Corridor. This significant agreement was signed on July 1, marking a new chapter in the transportation and logistics sector between the two countries.
The agreement includes provisions for the development of the Middle Corridor, specifically focusing on container trains between China and Europe, as well as international road transport. The aim of these agreements is to streamline the use of road, rail, and sea transportation modes, while creating favorable conditions for the transportation of goods. Additionally, the development of logistics centers in both countries will further enhance the efficiency of the transport route.
