Astana Business Forum to Focus on Key Areas during Slovenian President’s Visit to Kazakhstan
Transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals, green energy, water resources, and telecommunications will take center stage at an upcoming business forum set to occur during Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar’s official visit to Kazakhstan.
The details were disclosed during a meeting on March 31 between Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu and Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon.
The Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s press service indicated that the discussions revolved around enhancing trade and economic relations and establishing a conducive environment for business communities.
“Astana highly values its relations with Ljubljana as an important partner in Central Europe and the European Union. We can find common ground on various issues, particularly the mutually beneficial utilization of our transit and transportation capabilities,” noted Nurtleu.
The meeting also underscored the shared commitment of Astana and Ljubljana to the UN Charter and the principles of international law.
Nurtleu expressed gratitude to Slovenia for its support of the UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan in Almaty and for its assistance in securing the European Commission’s authorization to commence negotiations on simplifying the EU visa process for Kazakh citizens.
The business forum during President Musar’s visit promises to further strengthen the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Slovenia in key sectors that are vital for the economic development and growth of both countries.
