Kazakhstan National Team Shines at International Horseback Archery Masters Tournament

ASTANA – The Kazakhstan national team showcased their talent and skill at the First International Horseback Archery Masters Tournament, bringing home a full set of medals from the competition held in Xilinhot, China from June 8 to 13.

The team, comprised of Abzal Tulybekov, Aitbek Sarybai, Nursultan Birlikbayev, and Batyr Beksauyt, competed against around 60 athletes from various countries including Australia, China, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Taipei, Türkiye, and Qatar.

On the first day of the tournament, Beksauyt secured the bronze medal in the Hungarian style event. However, he impressed everyone on the final day by claiming the gold in the Saran style competition, a first-time event for the Kazakh team.

The second day saw Sarybai clinching the silver medal in the Asian style category. He showcased his prowess in the imperial style event on the third day, marking another first-time achievement for Kazakh athletes.

The Kazakhstan Federation of Zhamby Atu, governing body for horseback archery in the country, expressed their pride and congratulations to the national team for their outstanding performance at the international tournament.

With their success at the First International Horseback Archery Masters Tournament, Kazakhstan’s presence and talent in the world of equestrian sports continues to grow and shine on the global stage.
