Kazakhstan Kicks Off Year of China Tourism with Vibrant Cultural Celebration
The Year of China Tourism in Kazakhstan officially kicked off in Astana with a vibrant cultural presentation on Feb. 8. The event, held at the city’s largest shopping center, featured a dragon dance, mask tricks, Chinese songs, and culinary delights to showcase Chinese culture.
Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Han Chunlin emphasized the unique opportunity the Year of China Tourism provides for Kazakhstan’s citizens to learn more about China and visit its famous landmarks. He encouraged Kazakh tourists to explore China, experience its beautiful landscapes, and savor traditional cuisine.
In 2024, tourism between Kazakhstan and China experienced significant growth, with over 655,000 Chinese visitors exploring Kazakhstan. The Year of China Tourism is expected to further boost tourism and strengthen the bonds between the two countries.
During the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China, more than 30 major events took place in Chinese cities, and over 200 agreements were signed. These initiatives aim to deepen cultural exchanges and promote mutual understanding between Kazakhstan and China.
