Kazakhstan Ranks 12th in the World for Cheapest Petrol Prices

According to a recent ranking by Rhino Car Hire, Kazakhstan has been ranked 12th in the world for having some of the cheapest petrol prices. The country offers petrol at a rate of $0.55 per liter, making it an affordable option for motorists.

In the Asian region, Kazakhstan holds the second position, with Turkmenistan taking the lead as the country with the lowest petrol prices at $0.43 per liter. Following closely behind is the Kyrgyz Republic, offering petrol at $0.78 per liter.

Iran claimed the top spot in the global ranking, with petrol prices at an incredibly low $0.03 per liter, thanks to significant government subsidies. Despite recent price hikes and rationing measures, Iran remains the cheapest place in the world to fill up your tank. Venezuela comes in second globally, with petrol priced at $0.04 per liter, although the country is facing serious economic challenges such as hyperinflation and resource mismanagement.

EnergyProm has reported a notable increase in fuel production in Kazakhstan in early 2024. The country produced 899,800 tons of petrol in the first two months of the year, marking a 3.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Diesel production also saw a rise of 5.8%, reaching 857,200 tons.

In January, Kazakh refineries were able to meet almost all of the domestic demand for petrol, supplying 99.99% of the required amount, and 98.3% of diesel fuel. This increase in production is a positive sign for the country’s economy and domestic fuel market.
