Kazakhstan Maintains its Position in Global Firepower Ranking in 2025
According to the 2025 Global Firepower Ranking, Kazakhstan has been ranked 57th out of 145 nations with a score of 1.1016. This marks a slight improvement from its 2024 position, where it rated 58th in the index.
The ranking takes into account over 60 individual factors to determine a nation’s power index score, with categories ranging from the quantity of military units and financial standing to logistical capabilities and geography. A score of 0.0000 is considered perfect.
In comparison to other Central Asian countries, Uzbekistan is positioned on the 58th line, Turkmenistan is placed 77th, followed by the Kyrgyz Republic at 105th, and Tajikistan at 108th.
The top three countries in the ranking are the United States, Russia, and China, showcasing their strong military capabilities. On the other end of the spectrum, Central African Republic, Benin, and Bhutan are ranked at the bottom of the list.
