Kazakhstan’s Ice Cream Exports Reach Record High in 2024
In a recent report by Data Hub’s press service, it was revealed that Kazakhstan’s ice cream exports soared to a record 9,800 tons from January to November 2024. This marks a significant 70% increase compared to the same period in 2023, making it the highest volume of ice cream exports since 2002.
Russia emerged as the largest importer of Kazakhstan’s ice cream, accounting for 69% of the total exports. The Kyrgyz Republic followed with a share of 20%, while Uzbekistan accounted for 9%. Russian imports nearly doubled during this period, indicating a growing demand for Kazakhstan’s ice cream in the region.
Despite a minor 3% drop in production, with a total of 49,400 tons produced during this period, Kazakhstan managed to boost its ice cream exports significantly. Imports also saw a slight decline of 3% to 12,500 tons. As a result, there was a decrease of 10% in the availability of ice cream in the domestic market compared to the previous year.
The export surge reflects the increasing popularity and demand for Kazakhstan’s ice cream products in international markets, setting a positive trend for the country’s ice cream industry. With continued growth and innovation, Kazakhstan is poised to further establish itself as a key player in the global ice cream market.
