Kazakhstan to Host Regional Symposium on ICAO Traveller Identification Programme
The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan has announced that the country will host a Regional Symposium on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Traveller Identification Programme (TRIP) from December 6th to 8th. This is the first time that Kazakhstan will be hosting such an event.
The symposium aims to provide a platform for the exchange of experiences and discussions regarding common challenges in passenger identification. The primary focus of the symposium will be to explore ways to enhance passenger mobility through technology and innovation.
During the three-day event, there will be ten panel sessions that will cover the five key elements of the ICAO TRIP Strategy. These elements include evidence of identity, machine-readable travel documents, document issuance control, inspection systems and tools, and interoperable applications.
The symposium is jointly sponsored by the Kazakh Ministry of Transport, which aims to implement cutting-edge technologies for passenger service and identification at airports in Kazakhstan. The ministry also focuses on facilitating air transportation within the country.
Several facilitation experts from Canada, France, New Zealand, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States are expected to attend the event. Additionally, representatives from international organizations and domestic agencies will also be present to share their insights and expertise.
This symposium marks an important step for Kazakhstan in promoting technological advancements in passenger identification and improving the efficiency of air transportation. It provides a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to come together and collaborate on finding innovative solutions to passenger identification challenges.
