Kazakhstan Tops China’s Trade Partners in Central Asia with $43.82 Billion Turnover
According to a report by Kazinform on Jan. 23, Kazakhstan has secured the top spot as China’s leading trade partner in Central Asia for the year 2024. The trade turnover between the two countries reached an impressive $43.82 billion, showcasing the strong economic ties between Kazakhstan and China.
Following Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic ranked second with a trade turnover of $22.71 billion, while Uzbekistan came in third with $13.78 billion. Turkmenistan and Tajikistan completed the list, with trade turnovers of $10.65 billion and $3.86 billion, respectively.
Overall, China’s trade with Central Asia amounted to $94.82 billion in 2024, showing growth from the previous year’s $89.4 billion. On a global scale, China’s total trade volume for the year reached an impressive $6.16 trillion, resulting in a trade surplus approaching $1 trillion.
These latest figures highlight the significant role that Kazakhstan plays in China’s trade activities in Central Asia and underscore the importance of the economic partnership between the two countries. With continued cooperation and collaboration, the trade relationship between Kazakhstan and China is expected to further flourish in the coming years.
