Kazakhstan Wins Third Figure Skating Medal in History
Kazakh Figure Skater Mikhail Shaidorov Wins Silver at ISU World Championships
ASTANA – Mikhail Shaidorov made history by winning the silver medal at the International Skating Union (ISU) World Figure Skating Championships 2025, which took place from March 26-30 in Boston, United States.
This achievement marks Kazakhstan’s third-ever medal in the sport, following Denis Ten’s silver in 2013 and bronze in 2015. Shaidorov’s outstanding performances in both the short and free programs earned him a total score of 287.47 points, placing him among the world’s top skaters.
This is not the first major victory for Shaidorov this season, as he also clinched the Four Continents Championships title. His success has earned him a coveted spot at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, where he will proudly represent Kazakhstan on the international stage.
