Kazakhstan’s Cycling Champion Encourages Abuse Victims to Speak Up and Assert Their Rights
Astana Qazaqstan Team General Manager and Olympic cycling medalist Alexandr Vinokurov is taking a stand against domestic violence in Kazakhstan. In a recent interview, Vinokurov urged women in the country to defend their rights and speak out against abuse.
As Kazakhstan’s Goodwill Ambassador, Vinokurov has been actively involved in public campaigns to prevent domestic violence and support women’s rights. He believes that it is important for men to respect women and not resort to violence to resolve conflicts.
“They must stay men as long as they are men. If they want to release their anger, they can find healthier outlets like going to the gym, hitting a punching bag, or engaging in physical activities like cycling,” Vinokurov said in a statement.
Vinokurov’s message is clear – violence against women is never acceptable and men should find constructive ways to channel their emotions. By raising awareness about this issue, Vinokurov hopes to create a safer and more equal society for all citizens of Kazakhstan. Women are encouraged to speak up and seek help if they are experiencing abuse, and men are urged to treat women with respect and empathy. Let’s join Vinokurov in his mission to end domestic violence and create a more equitable future for all.
