Kazakhstan’s National Bank Unveils ÚKI Investment Coin for Gold Coin Project

Kazakhstan’s National Bank to Launch Gold Coin Project on March 17
Astana — Kazakhstan’s National Bank is set to introduce the Gold Coin project, a digital version of the investment coin, on March 17. This initiative will provide Kazakhstan’s citizens with an alternative method of investment and capital growth using the digital economy and modern technology.
The Gold Coin project will allow individuals to purchase this investment product through the Astana International Exchange (AIX) Tabys mobile app. Each Gold Coin represents 1/20 of a troy ounce of gold, with its value tied to the price of gold determined by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) and the official exchange rate of the tenge to the U.S. dollar from the previous day.
Through the Tabys app, users will have the ability to buy, sell, and showcase their Gold Coins online. Moreover, upon accumulating twenty units, users can exchange their digital Gold Coins for a physical investment coin, known as ÚKI, at any branch of the National Bank.
The ÚKI investment coin will be officially available for purchase starting on March 17. This new offering aims to enhance the investment landscape in Kazakhstan and empower individuals to engage in investment opportunities in a convenient and accessible manner.
