Kazım And Re-elected as President of Cyprus Turkish Retired Officers Association
Kazım And was re-elected as the President of the Cyprus Turkish Retired Officers Association at the 17th Ordinary General Assembly held on Saturday. The general assembly, which took place at the Civil Defence Organization Nicosia Regional Directorate facilities, began with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem.
During the assembly, the activity report and financial report were presented and cleared, followed by the election of the management bodies. Association members shared their wishes and requests for the new term during the wishes and requests section. The meeting concluded with thank you speeches from Kazım And, who was re-elected as President, and Özkan Arkın, the Chairman of the Board.
The newly elected Board of Directors includes Mehmet Çelebioğlu, Bülent Ecevit, Mustafa Kutruza, Taner Polat, Halil İnce, Nejmettin Ateş, Kazım Eskidemir, Emel Bilgi, Hayrullah Sambar, and Alp Özdevrim. Osman Kumbur and Mehmetali Özdemir were also elected as substitute board members.
Additionally, Mehmet Karacaoğlu, Mehmet Kuyucuoğulları, and Özgür Eroğlu were appointed to the Supervisory Board, with Cevdet Aydınova and Ahmet Yeltekin as substitute members. The Honor Board now includes the names of Aliosman Ünver, Ahmet Yatman, Hüseyin Özbudak, Özkan Arkın, and Ali Yılmaz Başkaya.
As a final announcement, Ahmet Katar was elected as the Association’s Legal Advisor. The re-election of Kazım And as President reflects the confidence and support of the members for his leadership and dedication to the association.
