President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Attends G7 Summit in Italy
After wrapping up his meetings in Spain, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made his way to Italy to participate in the G7 Heads of State and Government Summit. The President’s plane landed at Italy’s Brindisi Airport at 13:43 GMT, after which he proceeded to the summit venue. President Erdoğan is set to take part in the G-7 High Level Session on Africa and the Mediterranean, as well as discussions on Artificial Intelligence and Energy. He will also engage in several bilateral meetings during his time at the summit.
Among the attendees at the summit are leaders from the United States, Japan, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, the UK, as well as the President of the European Union (EU) Council Charles Michel and the President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen. The summit, organized at the invitation of Italy, will also see the presence of prominent figures such as United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Pope Francis, and representatives from Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, India, Jordan, Kenya, Mauritania, and Tunisia.
