KIB-TEK General Manager Aydın’s Statement to BRT-BRTK

The cold weather in our country has had an impact on electricity consumption, with levels reaching up to 460 megawatts. Dalman Aydın, the Director of the Turkish Cypriot Electricity Institution, reassured the public that there is no fuel shortage in the country.
Despite this, Aydın cautioned that Kibtek, the electricity provider, may experience some interruptions in certain regions due to small malfunctions from time to time. Overall, the country is well-equipped to handle the energy demands brought on by the winter weather.
