KIKEV expresses gratitude to BRT for project contributions – BRTK
KIKEV and BRTK Collaborate on Education Project for Hearing and Speech Impaired
The Cyprus Hearing and Speech Impaired Foundation (KİKEV) has launched the ‘Support to Social and Community Awareness in Sustainable Education Project’ in collaboration with Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation (BRTK).
As the main media sponsor of the project, BRTK has partnered with KİKEV to produce educational videos aimed at promoting social and community awareness. These 16 educational videos, supported by BRTK, will be broadcasted starting from January 5 and will also be utilized in schools for educational purposes.
During a visit to the Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation, KİKEV foundation managers expressed their gratitude to BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt for the corporation’s support towards the project. Özkurt emphasized BRTK’s motto of “overcoming obstacles” and highlighted the importance of the collaboration with KIKEV in enabling individuals to overcome barriers.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of KİKEV, Bahire Coşkuner Doğru, extended her thanks to BRTK Director Özkurt and her team for their continuous support towards the foundation’s mission of promoting accessibility and communication for individuals with hearing and speech impairments. Doğru emphasized the significance of BRTK’s contributions to the project and expressed her enthusiasm for the implementation of the ‘I Love You, I Am Your Voice’ initiative.
Doğru also announced that the project, carried out under the auspices of the Presidency, will feature Turkish Sign Language videos in the near future, thanks to the support of BRTK and other collaborating institutions.
KIKEV Women’s Branch Manager, Hayriye Hürer, conveyed her appreciation to BRTK for their efforts in facilitating communication for individuals with disabilities. Members of KİKEV also expressed their gratitude to BRTK Director Meryem Özkurt and her team using sign language during a reception held in honor of the collaboration.
At the event, BRTK Manager Meryem Özkurt was presented with a plaque, while certificates of appreciation were awarded to BRT employees who actively participated in the project. This collaborative effort between KIKEV and BRTK signifies a commitment to promoting inclusive education and ensuring that individuals with hearing and speech impairments have equal access to communication resources and opportunities.
