Kılıçdaroğlu accuses The Economist of sowing division in response to Bahçeli’s comments

Bahçeli, Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party made a speech at a rally in Aksaray, Turkey wherein he expressed his opinions about the current state of the country. Bahçeli accused The Economist magazine of spreading discord and declared that social media war has been declared against Turkey. He blamed this on the propaganda of Kılıçdaroğlu, the Zillet alliance candidate, and FETO, which he implied was responsible for past rights violations.
Bahçeli accused Kılıçdaroğlu of being at the heart of all kinds of immorality and relationship allegations. He expressed his outrage at Kılıçdaroğlu’s statement at the Aydın and Kütahya rallies where he promised to “give an area of freedom that you will criticize Mr. Kemal most comfortably.” Bahçeli called it a scandalous statement and deemed Kılıçdaroğlu’s essence as intolerant. Moreover, he added that democracy cannot be given or taken away, and Kılıçdaroğlu’s words of justice are deceptive.
Bahçeli accused Kılıçdaroğlu of starting to act completely against political life, and the Zillet alliance of aiming to pollute human dignity and democracy. He urged people to support the Nationalist Movement Party, deeply in love with the Turkish nation and Turkey, and to stand behind the People’s Alliance. He asked people to stand up for their President and candidate, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Bahçeli concluded by saying that it is time for all Turkish citizens to embrace the flag, country, and nation on the common denominator without any discrimination. He added that the state of the Republic of Türkiye is engraved in the blood of martyrs, and no one, not even any vile, foreign connection, can remove Turks and the Turkish nation from their lands.
