Kılıçdaroğlu fails to provide convincing answers
Former presidential candidate Sinan Oğan has spoken out about his meeting with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), during the presidential elections. Oğan, who is also the President of TÜRKSAM, revealed that he had dinner with Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu and Mansur Yavaş before meeting with President Erdoğan. During their dinner, Oğan asked Kılıçdaroğlu how he planned to overcome the country’s crisis without having the majority in parliament. However, Kılıçdaroğlu failed to provide a convincing answer. Oğan believes that if the Nation Alliance had secured a majority in parliament, they could have formed an independent structure separate from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP). According to Oğan, the failure to secure a majority in parliament is a sufficient reason for Kılıçdaroğlu and the leaders of the Nation Alliance to resign, as it reflects their incompetence.
Oğan also expressed concerns about the potential crisis that could arise from the different alliances between the Parliament and the Presidency. He argued that it was a sign of incompetence that the Nation Alliance did not achieve a majority in parliament.
During a TV interview, Oğan discussed his decision to support Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the second round of the presidential election. He explained that his stance was based on the belief that the country should reduce its enemies in foreign policy. Oğan cited the recent appointment of an ambassador to Egypt and the resolution of problems with Israel and Gulf countries as examples of positive developments.
When asked about his statement “We will close the gates of hell,” Oğan referred to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) as the “hell of Turkish politics.” He believes that disabling the HDP is equivalent to closing the gates of hell, and he stated that this has been successfully achieved.
In other news, a recent announcement regarding a salary increase for civil servants and retirees has been made. The raise, known as the Sayyanen hike, will take into account the inflation difference for the year 2023.
