The Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association has highlighted the significance of the upcoming trial regarding the Isias Hotel, scheduled to take place in Adıyaman on April 26. This trial is seen as a symbol of a collective effort to establish safe living environments in the future.
In a recent statement released before the second hearing of the Isias Hotel case, the Board of Directors of the Turkish Cypriot Cultural Association expressed their firm belief that all those responsible will be met with the fullest extent of the law following a fair trial.
The case in question pertains to the collapse of the Isias Hotel in Adıyaman during the earthquakes that struck in February 2023, centered in Kahramanmaraş. Tragically, 72 individuals lost their lives in the incident, including members of the “Champion Angels” volleyball team from Famagusta Turkish Maarif College.
The association extended their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, emphasizing the deep sadness felt for the lives lost. They emphasized the importance of the trial in preventing similar disasters from occurring in the future and providing justice for those affected by the tragedy.
