The press conference will take place at the Atatürk Teachers Academy, where the two unions will share their views on the importance, development, and transformation of the academy. The unions have expressed their opposition to the bill passed by the Parliament, and the joint statement, signed by KTÖS Secretary General Burak Maviş and KTOEÖS President Selma Eylem, highlights issues with the education system.
In addition, the Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers’ Union will be on strike at schools where there are exams on June 1.
The statement also calls on President Ersin Tatar, political parties, and the public to resolve the current issues in the education system.
