Minister Yerlikaya Leads Successful Operations Against Organized Crime Groups

Minister Yerlikaya has made powerful statements regarding the recent successful operations carried out against organized crime organizations in Turkey. The operations, known as “KUYU-31,” targeted 2 separate organized crime organizations in Yozgat, led by Ahmet Doğan who is currently in prison.

As a result of the operations, a total of 30 suspects who were members of these organized crime groups were apprehended. Minister Yerlikaya emphasized, “Organized crime organizations and gangs will fall into the wells they dug. We will bring down organized crime networks, no matter what size they are.”

Under the coordination of Soma and Yozgat Chief Public Prosecutor’s Offices and the General Directorate of Security KOM Presidency, the operations were carried out by the Manisa and Yozgat Provincial Police Department KOM Branch Directorates. Suspects involved in various criminal activities such as taking over entertainment venues by force, shooting at workplaces, and using armed threats were targeted in the operations.

The successful outcomes of the operations included the seizure of 8 unlicensed guns, 4 unlicensed rifles, 7 cutting and piercing tools, various amounts of drugs, and numerous checks and promissory notes.

Minister Yerlikaya commended the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and the dedicated police forces for their hard work in ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
