Kyrenia Municipality Distributes Kumquat and Sour Orange Saplings to Increase Green Areas
Kyrenia Municipality has launched a new sapling distribution campaign with the aim of enhancing green spaces throughout the city. In a recent statement, the municipality announced that they will be distributing kumquat and sour orange saplings, obtained from their sister municipality, Antalya Muratpaşa Municipality, free of charge to the residents of Kyrenia.
Following the successful distribution of approximately 900 jasmine saplings in the past, the municipality is now planning to distribute 400 orange saplings to individual homeowners and 300 kumquat saplings to apartment residents. Those interested in receiving the saplings can register with their water subscriber number by calling the “Alo 185” line during working hours, starting from tomorrow. Alternatively, they can also collect their saplings by presenting their subscriber invoices to the municipality.
This initiative aims to encourage more residents to plant trees and contribute to the greening of Kyrenia. By distributing these saplings, the municipality hopes to create a more sustainable and eco-friendly environment for the community. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a positive impact on the city’s landscape and get your free sapling today!
