The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic will be releasing a new silver collection coin titled “At Chabysh” on Aug. 1 in honor of the fifth World Nomad Games taking place in the Kazakh capital from Sept. 8-13.

At Chabysh is a traditional and beloved sport among the Kyrgyz people, featuring long-distance horse races. The most resilient and swift horses are chosen for these races, which have been a part of various folk festivals for generations.

According to the bank’s press service, the obverse of the coin showcases two riders galloping on horses against a backdrop of a stylized hippodrome shaped like a horseshoe. The top of the coin features the World Nomad Games logo, the coin’s name, and its denomination (10 Som).

On the reverse side, the design continues with the image of horsemen in motion and includes the coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic. The words “World Nomad Games” adorn the top and bottom of the coin.

Each collection coin comes in an acrylic capsule and is packaged in a box with a quality certificate. The price of the coin is set at 5,580 Som (US$66.4).
