
Labor Minister visits disabled individuals injured in traffic accident

Labor and Social Security Minister Sadik Gardiyanoglu visited disabled individuals in the hospital after a traffic accident in Kyrenia.
Minister Gardiyanoglu, along with officials from the Social Services Department, visited Kyrenia Milling Main, where a traffic accident involving a vehicle carrying disabled individuals occurred. The accident, which took place at the Arapköy junction, resulted in 8 disabled individuals and the minibus driver sustaining minor injuries.
The Minister expressed his sadness over the incident, which tragically resulted in the death of two people. However, he noted that the disabled individuals and the minibus driver are currently receiving treatment for their injuries and are not in life-threatening condition.
Gardiyanoglu reassured that the government is fully committed to supporting them through their recovery process. The Minister visited the wounded individuals at Kyrenia Akçicek Hospital and Nicosia’s Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital, where he received updates on their condition from medical professionals.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security is actively monitoring the situation and providing assistance to those affected by the accident. Our thoughts are with the victims of the accident, and we wish them a speedy recovery.
