Landmine incident in Aghdam district: one injured
A landmine incident occurred on April 6 in the village of Galaychilar in the recently liberated Aghdam district of Azerbaijan. The incident involved Sabuhi Elman oglu Mammadov, a resident of Galaychilar, who was injured by the explosion of an anti-personnel mine while entering an uncleared area.
Following a joint statement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), the injured individual was promptly evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment. The Aghdam District Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the occurrence.
