
LAST MINUTE Meteorology Warnings from AKOM: 10 Days of Continued Impact

The General Directorate of Meteorology has released estimates regarding the weather conditions in Turkey. According to the forecast, there will be partly cloudy skies in various regions of the country, with rain expected in some areas. The south and east of Marmara, the east of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea coasts, Bolu, Tokat, Artvin, and the east of Eastern Anatolia are among the regions where rainfall is expected. In addition, snow mixed with rain is predicted for the inner parts of the country and snow is expected in other areas. Light rain and thunderstorms are expected in Southeastern Anatolia.
In the inner and eastern parts of the country, icing and frost with fog in the morning and night hours are expected, with a high risk of avalanches in the high and steep slopes of Eastern Anatolia. Meteorological experts have stated that air temperatures will be below seasonal norms for the next 10 days.
Akom has issued a warning for Istanbul, stating that the cold and rainy weather of Siberian origin will continue to impact the city with temperatures ranging from 5-8 degrees Celsius. The warning advises residents to expect winter weather conditions.
The forecast also indicates that wind speeds will be strong, especially in the North and northeast directions. Residents are advised to take caution against potential hazards. Additionally, icing and frost with avalanche danger are expected in certain regions of the country.
