Last Minute Operation to Bust the Gigolo Gang with Unbelievable Tactics
News Center – Some suspects in Istanbul have been caught giving fake ads on social media and luring victims into traps. These individuals convinced people that they could become gigolos and then contacted the suspects.
Blackmail was used as a tactic, with the suspects demanding photos from the victims in exchange for promising high earnings. Once inappropriate photos were obtained, the suspects blackmailed the victims by threatening to share the photos with their families. As a result, the victims lost a total of 872 thousand pounds.
The Istanbul Police Department Cyber Crimes Anti-Crime Teams took action upon receiving the reports. Following technical and physical surveillance, operations were carried out in 5 districts.
As a result of these operations, 9 suspects were arrested and detained. One suspect has already been arrested and sent to prison, while the remaining 8 individuals have been released under judicial control. The investigation into this gigolo gang continues as authorities work to bring justice to the victims.
