Nation Alliance Holds Final Rally before May 14 Elections in Ankara
As the May 14 elections approach in Turkey, the Nation Alliance held its last rally in Ankara Tandoğan Square. The police took intense security measures to ensure the safety of everyone attending the event. At the rally, the Presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance and CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu addressed the crowd who had braved the rain to hear him speak. Nation Alliance leaders, ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş and IBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu, also gave speeches.
Kılıçdaroğlu focused on the need for change, promising to fight for democracy and peace for the country. He urged citizens to vote and ensure the security of the ballot boxes, so their voices could be heard. Kılıçdaroğlu also vowed to find the killers of Sinan Ateş and send Syrian refugees back to their countries within two years. He stressed the importance of justice and bringing an end to the reign of thieves, gangs of five, and drug lords in the country.
Other politicians who spoke at the rally, including IYI Party leader Meral Akşener and SP Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, also rallied for change and revolution. Future Party leader Ahmet Davutoğlu and DP leader Gültekin Uysal also spoke at the event.
CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu had to wear a steel vest during his visit to Samsun to address the citizens due to assassination allegations against him. He promised to end fights and bring spring to the country.
Although Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he tried to invite Muharrem İnce to the rally, he could not reach him. The CHP leader wished İnce a quick recovery as he has been hospitalized recently.
As the final rally for the May 14 elections ends, the future of Turkey remains uncertain. However, the Nation Alliance has promised to bring democracy and peace to the country through democratic means and to work towards a just society for all.
