President Ilham Aliyev lays foundation stone for new village in Lachin district
On May 4, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan attended a groundbreaking ceremony in the Lachin district for the village of Gulabird. The Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPS, Rovshan Rzayev, briefed the President on the planned work in the new village.
It is expected that a total of 581 families will be resettled in Gulabird, which will span an area of 172 hectares. The village will include two-room, three-room, four-room, and five-room houses, as well as a school with 432 seats and a kindergarten with 80 seats.
During the ceremony, President Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the village, which represents a significant step towards the ongoing resettlement of refugees and internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan. The development of new housing and infrastructure is an important factor in restoring stability and normalcy to the region after many years of conflict.
The Gulabird village represents just one of the many projects currently underway in Azerbaijan.
