“Laying the Foundation Stone for Jabrayil District’s Khudafarin Settlement”

President Ilham Aliyev Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for Khudafarin Settlement in Jabrayil

On May 4, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Khudafarin settlement in the Jabrayil district. The event was also attended by Vahid Hajiyev, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, who informed the head of state about the works to be done in the settlement.

The Khudafarin settlement is planned to cover 25 hectares of land, with a projected area of 149 houses to be built in the future. In the first phase, 20 houses will be built for 77 people. The settlement will also have a school, kindergarten, administrative building, mosque, cultural center, a Caravanserai hotel, and a community club. Additionally, there will be a park built on the bank of the Araz River and near Khudafarin bridge.

During the event, President Aliyev was shown a video that highlighted the development plan of the settlement. He then laid the foundation stone for the Khudafarin settlement, which is part of the East Zangazur economic region.

This ceremony is a significant step towards the post-conflict development of the Jabrayil district. The construction of a new settlement will provide much-needed housing and infrastructure for local residents and stimulate economic growth in the area. The project is part of Azerbaijan’s larger efforts to rebuild and develop the territories liberated from Armenian occupation in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.
