
Leader of International Criminal Organization Captured in Istanbul

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has praised the efforts of the Istanbul Provincial Police Department for their successful operation in cracking down on a criminal organization involved in human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
In a statement released on social media, Minister Yerlikaya announced that the operation targeted an organized criminal group responsible for facilitating illegal immigration to Italy. The group had been under investigation by Italian authorities for their involvement in immigration crimes.
Thanks to the diligent work of the Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch Directorate, the culprits were apprehended during an operation conducted in Istanbul’s Fatih district. Minister Yerlikaya commended the police teams for their swift and effective action in dismantling the criminal network.
