New School Placement System Announced for Students in Turkey
The Ministry of National Education in Turkey has recently introduced a new school placement system for students. Under this system, students will be able to select their preferred schools from three different groups based on specific criteria. These groups include schools that accept students based on their performance in the central exam, schools that accept students through local placement, and schools with boarding houses.
To make their preferences, students can use the “e-school” website of the Ministry of National Education or approach the directorate of any official secondary school or imam hatip secondary school. They will be allowed to choose up to 10 schools from the list of institutions that accept students based on the exam scores. However, it is important to note that they can choose a maximum of 3 schools from the same school type. In the case of local placement, students will have the right to choose up to 5 schools.
It has been announced that the results of the school placements will be made available on July 24. Additionally, for students enrolled in the 8th grade of schools located in the earthquake zone, the Ministry of National Education will open 2 additional quotas for each branch in schools that conduct exams.
The LGS placement results, which is the national placement exam in Turkey, will be published on July 24. This new system aims to provide a fair and transparent process for students in their transition to secondary education.
