Luxury Car Totaled in Pole Collision; Driver Missing
A luxury car in Burdur crashed into a median strip and a lighting pole, leaving it in an unusable condition. The incident took place late at night on İbrahim Zeki Burdurlu Street in Bağlar Neighborhood. The car, identified as a BMW with the license plate 06 MNT 46, lost control and collided first with the median and then with the pole. Eyewitnesses claim that the driver and two passengers fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Emergency services were quickly notified, and health, police, fire, municipality, and electricity distribution company teams rushed to the scene. However, by the time health teams arrived, the driver and passengers were nowhere to be found. The electricity distribution company had to cut off power to the pole before a tow truck could remove the damaged vehicle. Inside the car, authorities found alcohol bottles, raising suspicions about the cause of the accident. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
