Maduro Declares Musk as Venezuela’s Arch Enemy in Bold ‘X’ Decision

Venezuelan President Maduro Bans Social Media Platform X, Owned by Elon Musk

In a bold move, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has banned the social media platform X, owned by American billionaire Elon Musk, from circulation in the country for 10 days. Addressing supporters at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, Maduro accused X of spreading hatred and inciting violence in Venezuela.

Maduro’s decision came after he spoke with the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) and instructed them to take action against X. The President condemned the platform for what he deemed as breaking the laws of Venezuela and promoting fascism, civil war, death, and hatred.

“I have full faith that one day new social media platforms will emerge in Venezuela, other than WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok,” Maduro told his supporters, urging them to stand behind his decision.

In a dramatic gesture, Maduro even deleted WhatsApp from his phone screen during a live broadcast, citing groups spreading violence and hatred via the messaging app. The President further declared Elon Musk as Venezuela’s arch-enemy, following Musk’s claims of election rigging in the country.

Responding to Musk’s accusations, Maduro challenged the billionaire to a duel, asserting that he was not afraid and ready to face him. Musk, in turn, promised to send Maduro to Mars for free with his SpaceX if he emerged victorious in the duel.

Amidst the escalating tensions, Maduro accused Musk of being behind a hacker attack on the National Electoral Council. The rivalry between the Venezuelan President and the American billionaire seems far from over, with both leaders standing firm in their positions.
