
Major Bust: 74 Suspects from 8 Crime Organizations Arrested in 6 Provinces

Minister Yerlikaya’s recent statements have shed light on the ongoing efforts to combat organized crime in various provinces across Turkey. In Balıkesir, Antalya, Tekirdag, and Kırklareli, as well as in Bursa, significant operations have been carried out to dismantle criminal organizations involved in various illegal activities.
The operations conducted last week led to the arrest of 74 suspects, including key figures within these organized crime groups. Out of these individuals, 43 have been detained, while 20 are under judicial control as the investigations continue.
The coordinated efforts of the General Directorate of Security and the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office have been instrumental in identifying and apprehending these criminals. The suspects are facing a range of charges, including attempted murder, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and arms trading.
A significant number of firearms and other weapons were seized during these operations, highlighting the dangerous nature of these criminal organizations. Minister Yerlikaya commended the efforts of the law enforcement agencies and prosecutors involved in these successful operations.
