Man Dies During Sacrificial Ritual: Heart Attack Causes Fatal Accident
A butcher in Istanbul tragically lost his life while slaughtering an animal for Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice). The incident occurred in a special sacrifice area in Arnavutköy Kiraşlı District, where 56-year-old Doğan İçeloğlu suffered a heart attack. As he fell to the ground, he unfortunately landed on the knife in his hand.
Despite being rushed to Arnavutköy State Hospital by ambulance, İçeloğlu did not survive despite medical interventions. The sacrificial bull incident took place in the same period, as it escaped into the sea in Zonguldak during the ritual.
This unfortunate event underscores the risks associated with sacrificial traditions, as similar accidents have been reported across the country. Another heartbreaking incident occurred in Rize, where a car accident claimed the lives of a mother and her two children, while the father and son sustained severe injuries.
