Man fined for using fake siren while driving
The Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate has recently cracked down on illegal vehicle modifications in the Bahçelievler District of Karşıyaka. A team led by Sedat U. stopped an off-road vehicle and discovered a police siren operated by remote control during their inspection.
As a result of this violation, the driver was hit with a hefty fine of 138,172 liras for installing and using unauthorized devices that emit light or sound signals on vehicles. In addition to the fine, Sedat U. had his driver’s license confiscated for a period of one month. The vehicle in question was deemed unfit for road use and was towed to a parking lot.
