Turkish School Principal Goes to Vote After Emergency Surgery

Mustafa Kızıltepe, Principal of Fatih Primary School in Manisa, Turkey, had his appendix burst in the middle of the night and had to undergo emergency surgery. However, as soon as he regained consciousness, he went to the polls to fulfill his civic duty and vote.

Kızıltepe fell ill around 11 PM and was rushed to the Alaşehir State Hospital. His appendix had burst, and he underwent immediate surgery in the general surgery department. After a successful operation, Kızıltepe was transported back to his school in Yeşilyurt District, where he served as building manager in the elections.

Using a wheelchair, he was brought up to the top floor of the school building, where the polls were located. Once he had fulfilled his civic duty, he returned to the hospital, where he continued his recovery.

Kızıltepe’s dedication and determination to vote, despite undergoing surgery and being in recovery, have garnered attention and admiration from around the world. His doctor has reported that he is in good condition, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
